PHILADELPHIA (October 30, 2017) – One-year-old Spring Garden Lending has hired Howard Briskin as a Seior Vice President of Commercial Lending to focus on investment real estate lending in Philadelphia and the suburbs. A Philadelphia native, Briskin has worked in the financial service industry for over 20 years. Most recently, Howard served as a Vice President at Univest Bank and Trust Co. Previous to that position, Howard was Vice President for Business Development at Valley Green Bank.

Jay Goldstein, former head of the former Valley Green Bank before he sold it to Univest a few years back, says he leads a group that has raised $15 million in equity and $25 million in a warehouse line of credit from local banks for a new company, Spring Garden Lending Group LLC, "specializing in short-term loans to help acquire, rehabilitate, construct, and refinance investment real estate properties in Greater Philadelphia."
